May is going to be a busy, busy month.
Donald graduates UM on Friday! I'm so proud of him. Now, he just needs to get a job so he can pay his own phone bill. :)
My grandparents will be in town this weekend until Tuesday. (This weekend should be interesting.) And I've got Friday, Sunday and Monday off. Yay! But being with my grandparents is like a full time job. They drive me nuts but I love them. They're precious.
And my grandmother is going to hound me to death as to why I'm not studying to be a doctor. I'm seriously contemplating it. But I can't quit my job just yet. I don't feel like I've completed what I started at Carnival Center. And I would feel like I've killed myself the last 9 months for nothing. But I'd love to travel the world! And I would love to help kids in third world countries. Oprah isn't alone on that one.
Next week is 6 days of 12+ hour shifts of Broadway. I hope it flies by quickly because....
Crystal and I finally move into our new house! <3 I am sooooooooo excited!
So, these past few days, I've received 3 gifts in the mail from patrons:
1. Carol's hobby is photography. She took pictures, printed them, pasted them on notecards and autographed them. They're gorgeous.
2. The Somersteins sent me a little gift box of assorted nuts and candies.
3. Bella sent me perfume (which smells pretty good) and artsy thank you notecards.
This all makes my crazy days at work worthwhile. Even if they had just sent a Thank You card - its the thought that counts. They have totally made my week. So although I have lost my sanity, I've got notecards, nuts and perfume to make up for it.
Ps. I'm going to be on TV. Cultural Affairs was doing a segment on the different Arts venues in Miami and they asked to film me with the CEO, Michael Hardy. It was fun! Nadinne is also making an appearance on the show. :)
Andy Warhol was right. Everyone will be world famous for 15 minutes. Or is it for 15 minutes, everyone will be world famous?
Anyhow. That's that. <3
