It's amazing how different reactions can be. I absolutely devoured this book. I found it compelling and fascinating from start to finish. I'm a twin and felt the relationship was eerily accurate. (I understand the author is a twin.) I notice people often criticize books that don't match their personal experiences, which I find somewhat odd. Anyway, my teen loved the book too, and her main reaction was amazement that, given the odd settings and academic'ish ambiance, that it could be so exciting. Too each her own, as it were! Can't wait for book 2!

If that was the case, then every reader would criticize this book because I highly doubt we've all experienced an old man in a mysterious bookshop trying to hypnotize us into becoming his eyes.
Seriously, tho'. To each his own, as you say. Welcome to my book blog! :) How did you happen to find Fashionista Piranha?
