I'm curious why you liked the "quick text" more? Does it just work better because of the comic book form? (That is, because of the panels, the eye is eager to move on to the next one quickly.)

I'm looking forward to see what they do with Wuthering Heights, but I'll definitely check this out and maybe Dracula too.

Like I said above, I felt the Quick Text had a more natural way of speaking, which I think suits a comic book. It may just be a personal reading habit, but I find that I will accept dialogue in a novel but not in a movie or TV show because outside of the context of the novel, it just doesn't sound right ( ... )

Not a weird quirk, what you said makes perfect sense. I can totally understand what you mean about the Shakespeare adaptations.
