Nothing but Staaaar Wars!

Yesterday one of my friends had a Star Wars birthday party.  (He turned 25 and not 12, btw.)  There was a marathon of all six movies, I showed up for the original three in the afternoon.  Then we watched Fanboys.  Then we watched Thumb Wars.  There was much commentary and Mystery Science 3000 moments.  Lots of racist things said about the Sand People, (sorry Tusken Raiders, really some of my best friends are Tusken Raiders.)  There was also lots of junk food and booze.  In the words of Han Solo, I feel terrible.  Worth it.

And today I turn on the television and Episode I is on Spike.  Awesome.  I love Star Wars but I phase in and out of it.  I feel a phase coming on.

The birthday boy, his wife, and a few other girl friends are going to be a polygamist family for Halloween.  (lulz)  They invited me into the fold, but I politely declined since I've had the steampunk thing planned for a while.  But I have people to hang with for Halloween now.  I usually do something with friends and then go see whatever they're showing at our cool historic theater.  They showed The Changeling for years and years and years, but had to quit after that stupid Angelina movie came out due to the same name.  (I'll never forgive you Jeffery Donavan).  And last year they showed The Shining, which was cool.  But this year they're showing Paranormal Activity.  Lame.

Speaking of which, I need to work on my ray gun.
