I hadn't photographed any paintings I whipped up for my last art show. Here's two of my favorites. My dad liked them so much he bought them. It was kind of silly for him too since I have a lot of other paintings stored under one of the beds in their house, but there's no chance of me selling them to anyone else this way. I also sold a set of three (I'll upload later) and a set of two to a friend. :D
Whitman:
Chaplin:
Yes, my persons of interest lately have all been in the Dead White Dude category, but whatevs. The Whitman-Chaplin connection is kind of a stretch, (I won't even start) but I liked the similar stances.
In other money-making ventures I've officially put the horse up for sale. Word of mouth works well and all but the time has come to advertise. I made up fliers to put in feed-stores and posted a couple of local ads on horsey-sites. If I don't get any interest by the end of the week I'm going to contact a place a few miles out of town that buys and sells. I wouldn't mind selling her for a bit less if they trained her up and found a good home for her. The goal is to have her sold by August. *fingers crossed!* It's one of those things I'm looking at as a blessing rather than a burden. It's sad and stressful, but I've been lucky to have the time with her and the learning experience as a whole.
