Julie and Julia.
So I couldn't find a version of Supernatural 5.3 where the sound wasn't terrible jacked from the audio. (Fail, internets.) So I finished reading "Julie and Julia", which we have in the bookstore and I checked out of the library. She's a cynic after my own heart. I haven't seen it but I really don't think the movie looked much like the book is. The movie looked cute and chick-flicky, but the actual woman who did this is insane. And hilarious. She loves and often references Buffy. She's also from Texas and living in New York so there was some fun/funny stuff there. Her hatred of Republicans gets annoying, but to me it'd be equally annoying if she were a red-blooded Liberal-hater. (I hear enough of that hanging out with my Sister and Brother-in-Law.)
Anyway, I skimmed a lot of the food/cooking stuff. As I have no idea how to pronounce anything in french and the most I cook is grilled cheese or Hamburger Helper.
But I really enjoyed it. Thumbs up on the working-in-a-bookstore-book-reccie list. We just got a new batch of General Reading books in, so I'll dig through those when we get them out on Monday.
