Day 2.

Apr 05, 2009 16:42

Well I'm beat.  I feel like I rode a motorcycle for six hours in the freezing wind or something. Oh wait!  It was awesome though.  Besides the cold.  It stayed windy and didn't warm up until about 2.  Lots of fun though.  Lots of honing of skillz and learning new stuff too.  So I'm terrible at U-turns.  Absolutely terrible.  They cost me on the evaluation, but not enough to blow the whole thing since I'm pretty good with everything else.  Shifting is a breeze, weaving and swerving is fun.  Short stops and downshifting takes some thought, but I got it.  If I do get a bike I'll definitely spend weeks just in neighborhoods and parking lots so that everything just becomes second nature.  The people were fun too.  Some didn't make it to the second day, butat the end of today it was like leaving camp or something.  You make temporary friends and hope you see them around.    Not that I ever went to camp.  But yeah, I'm legit, yo!  I can go get liscenced and buy a bike and insure it if I want.  Probably not anytime soon, it'll take time and money to work out other stuff going on right now.  Until then I'll just do what I did with the horse and ask to play with other people's.

fun, real life
