Be brave now.

So I've heard about "Kings" from many sources and finally watched the pilot.  The sources are right.  It is awesome.

I need to brush up on my Old Testament though.  Don't think I kept any notes from the class.  I caught a lot of things;  David Shepherd is the youngest of lots of brothers, Silas Benjamin = Saul, tribe of Benjamin, liking the king's daughter, etc.  There's probably a lot of stuff I missed though.   I wonder how similar the stories are going to be and how far into it it'll go.  Because aren't David and Saul's son friends?  Jack doesn't seem to be on the David train on the show.  David's not even that great of a guy, he kills Uriah to get with Bathsheba.   It's going to take some time to develop golden retriever boy to that level.  ANYway.  I liked it.  They've got to use Cohen or Wainwright's "Hallelujiah", right?  Have they already?  *runs to watch more.*  I just hope it's not too serious that I get bored with it.  That happens a lot with my tv watching.  Tell jokes!  Jokes are good!

And while we're talking about David; a lesson in art history.  Everyone knows about this David.  Boring.  Check out this David.  He's twisting his body and biting his lower lip.  His brow furrowed in concentration.  You walk around it and it's almost like he changes positions.  I know this, I have seen it.  Bernini man.  He blows Michelangelo out of the water.
