My moods have been fluctuating rather erratically lately, from bitchy to happy to weepy to contemplative to etcetera every day. In other words, it's been pretty normal. Though, I have to admit, I have been wallowing in self-pity more often than usual.
We haven't had internet in my house for the second half of July and when we did it was only for a few hours at a time due a broken router. Dad just bought a new one last week. It took ages for us to figure out the machine was broken, because Adli and I thought Dad simply didn't pay the bill :P The internet at school blocks a lot of sites so aside from checking my email, I just stayed offline (my mobile phone isn't smart enough to browse the internet with, just a few basic functions ahaha). Internet is still so slow though. It's taking 10 minutes to upload a 700kb file, I kid you not.
During my offline time I read a little, and played some games, watched some series. I managed to download a PSX emulator at work and played Crash Bandicoot 2. It was nostalgic, hey. I even bought a USB controller so I can play properly (using the keyboard was OK, but can be awkward sometimes). Right now I'm playing Spyro the Dragon. I've never played this, I usually just watch Adli play back in the day. I totally suck at flying and jumping because of my fear of heights -- my feet tingle whenever I'm at a really high spot! X3 I also finished all the seasons of Malcolm in the Middle (I have this mad love for Reese) and I started That '70s Show again because watching Christopher Masterson (Francis) made me want to flail over Danny Masterson (Hyde) again hehe.
The last book I read was Crooked Little Vein by Warren Ellis (writer of Transmetropolitan <3). It was wonderfully perverse and perversely wonderful! I read about people who want to have sex with Godzilla (macrohepetophiles) and guys who inject their balls with saline to make them huge for fun, among many other sexy things. I really enjoyed it, made me laugh out loud a lot. I've got the
PDF right here if you fancy reading it -- enjoy!
Also, Mum has lent me her Samsung Galaxy tablet (yay new toy!) and I've transferred books, comics and videos into it. It's pretty handy as a browser too, but I can't read the alt-text at xkcd boo.
I've also been shopping. Clothes and jewellery mostly. I've also developed a taste for apple milk tea.
Oh, and in my spare time, I go to work. And sleep, sometimes.
