So my Japanese little sister has arrived. Her name is Suzuki Miyako. Lovely girl, but awful shy. She does everything so delicately, I feel most uncouth when I'm near her.
Miyako-chan speaks only a smattering of English and I only a smattering of Japanese, so we get along famously.
She is 15 years old though and too young to know the JRock that bands I love. She tells me her favourite band is Green (don't make me spell it, I have no idea how many 'e's it's got). But she knows her actors, thank goodness, so I have someone to fangirl to, heh.
Last night because we had nothing to do, we watched the DVD of Miura Haruma and Satoh Takeru in HT ~NY no Chushin de Nabe wo Tsutsuku~ and it was fun and hilarious as usual. We ended sleeping near midnight, because Miyako-chan wanted to watch the DVD til the end.
This afternoon I passed her my copy of Satoh's So Far So Good photobook and she's currently engrossed in it (there's interviews and such in it, which I cannot read yet, boo). She was never a Satoh fan, but I shall convert her before the week ends, bwaha!
Oh yes! She gave my family lots and lots of gifts! I think half of her huge suitcase contained presents for us. *sweatdrop* It was really pretty awesome. I got Hello Kitty stationery and a pack of Totoro playing cards, among other lovely things! I will take a picture of my presents next time.
And I shall take a picture with her soon as well, I keep forgetting XD;
