#102 it is cheesed with the pope

I fell asleep listening to Duke Ellington's Caravan by Barney Bigard and his Jazzopaters last night. I love jazz and this song's pretty mellow with awesome trumpet-play. I've uploaded it, you can hear or download it here.

Yesterday was my final day at work. It was sad. It didn't feel as nostalgic as the last day I had classes though. It was also a bit nice because everyone wanted to hug me and they wished me luck. All I said in return was "Where are my going-away presents and my party you bastards?" OK maybe I didn't. But I was thinking it.

Also since I'm going away, my friends all wanted to catch up with me. I don't mind being an excuse to get drunk, no, not really. As long as they're paying for the drinks.

Um, I swear on certain angles Igarashi Shunji looks like Kato Keisuke. But mind you, I am half-blind and delusional.

Today is Simon's Secret Santa thing. We drew names a couple of weeks ago and got this guy named Jono. Unfortunately I dont know him very well, so I couldn't really get him a meaningful present. In the end I got him a 1000-piece Jigsaw puzzle. It's of Mona Lisa. Yeah, I suck at presents. I hope I get something nice today! I forgot to get Simon something, but I will.

I now have D-BOYS Be Ambitious Vol1 DVD in my shopping cart on CDJapan. As much as I really, really, REALLY want the limited edition, I honestly think I can't afford it after much pondering. I really shouldn't be shopping on luxuries like this but this DVD will be my 2010 Xmas present for myself. ^__^ Now all I have to do it wait for my money to go through!

Right I have to go. Will probably update again tonight.

[edit] I received TWO presents: a really cute  2011 organizer and  a DVD of Stephen Fry's Sydney show! *happy-bounce* \^o^/

[edit2] GLAY re-releasing BeatOUT!. Um, WHY?

media, d-boys, igarashi shunji, kato keisuke, xmas, music, shopping, work, friends, uni
