I think I'm going to figure out something to do with the art room. It would be a good place to hang up my drawings and try to make sense out of some of them. If anyone else on board is an artist and has something they'd like to show off, I've got to admit that I'd be pretty interested in seeing what kind of talent you may or may not have ( Read more... )

I fully support this idea. I am very interested in seeing the artwork that everyone has done.

I am. I have taken it upon myself to try and master every major style. My success has been limited and is unlikely, but it is the progress that counts.

I imagine with the individuals that exist on board, their varying histories and emotional output, they would produce enviable and impressive work.

Master every major style? That's going to take a lot of work, but if you're really dedicated to it, I don't see why you wouldn't accomplish it eventually.

The only think I'm afraid of, is after meeting some of the inmates, they're more likely to paint in blood than with paint.

That is true. Though a viable form of art, it likely should not be encouraged.

How is it a viable form of art to paint with blood?

Many cultures do it as a ritual of expression, usually using their own. It is fairly common among ritualistic warrior races, though as an every-day medium it usually does not last and is therefore inadvisable.

No offense, but you kind of sound like a walking computer. A pretty interesting walking computer, though.

I am a walking computer, though I prefer the term artificial life form. Android happens to be more concise than either.

So, do you have a name? I'm not going to call you Android.

I am uncertain that it is an improvement. My name is Data.

Appropriate but uncreative, guess it could be worse. Anyways, I'm Cassie.

Greetings, Cassie.

My father had a peculiar sense of humor. One of my brothers was named B-4.

I'm not exactly following that peculiar sense of humor, but I'm interested in hearing about your...family.

I did not know any particular member for very long. I have found my closest relative understanding of family was formed through long-term friendships.

Is it hard to make long term friends, only to watch them get older and eventually leave you?
