Am I still playing WoW? Yes, albeit not as much lately (because holy hell, wedding plans...and I'm trying to write, to boot). Hell, the retvindicatrix is almost out of Northrend (which is saying something, because I slog through Northrend).
But enough with the presumption that WoW is unequivocally the best of the genre, to which no other game can ever hope to compare. Sure, it's the best in some regards (phasing, years of development behind it, big damn game world, no Gamebryo). But there are at least as many areas in which Rift beats it hollow-one of them, much as this may gall some people, being writing.
In addition, there are a few areas in which Dungeons & Dragons Online beats WoW (and Rift, although not necessarily both at once) hollow. But that's not the topic at hand, now, is it?
