Here's a surprise...
The author of the blue soap actually commented on my rather scathing post about it at warcraftsues. And it wasn't a petulant, Link's Queen-esque huff (although, to be fair, said author might as well be Margaret Atwood compared to Link's Queen).
To tell the truth, I'm not sure what to make of her comment. She might have been laughing it off; it could have been the simple "any publicity is good publicity" as which it was worded; and it might have been "I AM SO TEH OFFENDED!!! but I'm not going to let on!" Hard to say.
But...because it wasn't a petulant huff, I suddenly feel a bit rotten about having been so rough on her fanfic. Sure, it was soapy, overblown, overrated, and featured two Mary Sues (and city boss as deus ex machina)...but I have, as I stated, read far worse.
