Ye gods. Hopefully, the thread will be gone in not too long...and I'm just hoping I'm not the one who gets in trouble here. (I don't think I will-aside from calling someone out for strawmanning, I have been biting my figurative tongue-but the mods have been known to be arbitrary.)
Seriously: aside from acting just plain disgusting? These kids are acting like they read from a manual on how to be...well, not so much the worst sort of self-entitled little fancreeps, as the worst possible stereotypes of the worst sort of self-entitled little fancreeps. As in, like they're using Derailing for Dummies as an actual guidebook.
All in all? It's the good old "oh, noes, people who are different from me are expressing opinions and otherwise reminding me that they're out there! I'm going to screech and flail until they stop." Also, the usual disconnect between what fanwads perceive as attention-seeking behavior...versus their response to what appears to be the genuine article.
I invite you, little fanlets, to watch this. And after that, I invite you to be quiet until it actually sinks in.
