The Remaining 10%...redux
Much like this Dreamwidth user, I'm done explaining to people why fanfic is okay. And it still mystifies me that-Sturgeon's Law or no-it's not explicitly protected under fair use.
Well, it seems there's at least one site that will not be intimidated, and continues to host works based out of Quarantined Continua. While that certainly does my heart good, I do suspect that some author with a good lawyer and a poor understanding of copyright law is eventually going to C&D them out of existence. And so, for their own protection, I will not be openly naming them here.
To tell the truth, I'm a bit dubious about reading Quarantined Fics anyway. It feels a bit too much like I'm indirectly supporting the authors.
