I am not on vacation anymore. My luggage still is.

Where is it? Puerto Rico? Tortola? Guam? Your guess is as good as mine and, unfortunately, that of the airline. But whatever; I can wash the same underwear and bra everyday and survive (unfortunately, my second x chromosome causes me to compulsively overpack, so i'm pretty much stripped of clothes.)

St. Croix was a lot of fun. It was absolutely gorgeous, and we all relaxed and ate a lot of food and got some sun and generally made merry. The house we stayed in was gorgeous. It was 3 stories of open-air, overly-decorated excellence. Everything opened up to the pool, which overlooked the ocean down below. One day we sailed over to Buck Island, a completely undeveloped national park about a mile off the north coast, and snorkeled and sunned and swam with baby lemon sharks, and Ashley and i flirted with the ridiculously attractice boathand, Paul. Unfortunately, Paul was about 23. But whatever. We went deep-sea fishing last Tuesday, and my brother caught a 30-lb mahi-mahi, which we grilled and enjoyed that night. The boat ride was really rough, though, and my Uncle (a retired naval officer) got very seasick, after he had proclaimed the day before that he only got sea sick in the north atlantic. I didn't feel so hot myself, but, unlike me uncle, my food stays in my stomach. That is, until it exits in a normal, more-pleasant-for-you-and-those-around-you sort of way. We also went kayaking and scuba diving and just generally did the sort of stuff you're supposed to do on an island, which, fortunately, included lots of Mango Margaritas (non-virgin, thank you very much) and seafood.

But now I'm home. Not by choice. And I leave for school in 2 weeks, which gives me just enough time to stress, worry, buy everything i need, and re-learn how to do laundry. Perfect. Tonight we're all going out to Clifton's for some "goodbye ann desanctis" pizza. After Ann, Shannon will leave, then Heather and Becca, and then me. And then everyone else. It's a little scary and a lot exciting.
