Well, clearly they figured without my being awesome...
Well, got a short contract this week... Well, on Tuesday, but I didn't realise how short it was gonna be.
The agent said it'd be a week or so. Then rang back to ask if I could start on Wednesday rather than Tuesday afternoon.
So either way, I show up, 9am, not looking forward to an 11 hour day. (Work immediately followed by accounting course)... But it was pretty uneventful stuff... Boring as heck. I had eight LARGE folders of papers to dig through and put every email address I found.
No problem... Four yesterday, four today before lunch. What's next?
"Next?" *confused look* You mean... You've done all that already? We thought it'd take you right up until the end of Friday.
"Yeah, done... It was boring, but but easy enough. Not many emails in each folder actually, finding them took the longest. What's next?"
"Uhh... gimmie a moment then."
So yeah... Got little scraps of work for the rest of the afternoon, and then was promtly told that I probably won't be needed tomorrow xD
One week contract becomes two days xD Sweet xD
Shame I don't get paid for the full week. Ho hum.
I'll have to have a word with my agent, you know... One week to two days... and the contract before then was two weeks... Which lasted eight months.
I think he could use some better estimates.
Anyhow :3 Munting around with the games I got free with my graphics card a few months back :) Chaos league is just plain fun... Not quite up to speedball 2, but the commentary is worth playing through a few times.
Second sight would be a superbly tense game, from the makers (or at least same graphic style) as timesplitters... It's just a shame that the sound has some weird sampling error and plays back at about four times the speed.
It's hard to be angsty and serious when the whole script is voiced over by Alvin and the chipmunks.
Oh well :) Very nicely thought out game. Well worth a look in if you see it cheap.
Still, being ill sucks... And on top of that I seem to have bitten both my tongue and my cheek in my sleep, and they're both swollen and painful.
Tho now I thort of talk like thith becoth my tongue dothent want to work pwoperly.
