Fiddle de dee!

Yarr, it be post like a pirate day.

And here be I wondering why I'm thinking typing with two hooks instead of hands would be a good idea and finding myself glad that I had already turned the blasted machine on before I started pressin' buttons and all.

But enough of this yawlin', I be on holiday and am finding it to my liking. Rarely does a day of rest find me, but those that do rarely find me unwilling to welcome them graciously. Too often folks tell tale of the dread that takes mens minds when they are becalmed, but so few realise just how pleasant it can be to be able to see the horizon on all sides and just be content with your lot.

Of course, there have been duties to perform, wouldn't do to be seen to be slacking in front of the crew, but being able to take them at a steady pace were all that I ask. For once I find myself actually getting what I ask for too.

Be that as it may, I have my memoirs to elaborate on, and then I think I shall see if I can't lead a crew ashore to plant gunpowder in any unsuspecting fort.

Hello gentlereaders, kindly observe that it is september 19th and thus talk like a pirate day.

Finding myself with a journal to update on this particular day, I considered trying to make things difficult for myself by emulating a rather unlucky pirate, one who had both hands removed and replaced by primitive prosthetics. However, I was unable to find hooks adequate to the task, and then gave up on the idea when I reasoned that a pirate with no hands wouldn't really have been able to open the laptop in the first place. Typing with pencils just seemed silly.

This, however, is a digression from the meat of this rather short post, however. I am on holiday, and feeling a little guilty about not posting much. Not that there has been any news significant to post. I love it when life is nice and quiet, and a whole week of quiet and being able to sort stuff out without disturbance is lovely.

Finally, I intend on writing some fiction, and most likely playing some counterstrike.)
