vicious... neighbors?

After Pit Bull attacks toddler, mother launches an attack against neighbor.
I'd be quick to get angry, too... except, why was the kid playing with the dog in the first place? Not, "The dog escaped and grabbed my kid!" No, she clearly said her son was playing with the dog, and the dog attacked.
You know... small child, playing with a dog like that... maybe not a bright idea in the first place.
