041 - [Video]

[The video comes on and is carefully balanced on a shelf. It shows Link's face frowning slightly as he sets it down, his hands reaching up to steady the device. He seems to be satisfied and lowers them, smiling at the screen. If he's feeling bad from his most recent misadventures, he's hiding it very well.]

I figure I should show the notes for those songs that get rid of ghosts. I was going to use the ocarina, but since I'm the only one here who has one, I had to go looking for something a bit more common.

[He holds up a small wooden flute.]

It plays all right...

[He looks at it for a moment, turning it over, and then raising it up, not quite on his lips. In the background, something leans out of the wall.]

All you have to do is follow the notes on your own instruments.

[The thing in the background takes a firmer shape, still embedded in the wall. It looks like the typical ghosts around here, all lank black hair and wide, rolling eyes. It holds up its hands, holding bloodied and mangled fingers outstretched. Link doesn't seem to notice.]

First off, I'm just going to try a few notes...

[The ghost speaks. It's in Japanese, but anyone who can understand that language should be able to make out what it's saying.]

Bloody Fingers... Bloody Fingers...

[Link starts, looks over his shoulder, and then his shoulder muscles relax and he turns, quite calmly, back to the camera.]

Bloody Fingers... Bloody Fingers...
Anyway, the first few notes:

[He raises the flute to his lips and blows out a few notes. The ghost continues to speak in the background through the notes.]

It's important to make sure the sound is clear when you're -
Bloody Fingers... Bloody Fingers...
- playing, because that shows that you're really -
Bloody Fingers, Bloody Fingers...

[Link sighs.]

I'm sorry, I'll do it later.

[He begins to turn around, reaching out for the camera as he does so.]

Look, I told you where the bandages are!

[His hand covers the feed and he shoves the device into his pocket, whereupon it turns off.]

ghost: bloody fingers, can i save you?, oh link, song: teaching
