I’ve enjoyed a relaxing week so far, but I’m starting to miss the residents, so I know it’s time to go back to work on Monday. I played a lot of video games on Monday and Tuesday, did laundry and played more video games on Wednesday, and went to Ohio yesterday. Aunt Mel and I had a great time together and I’m so happy that she is doing better. We had Hero House for dinner and it’s as amazing as it ever was, and Aunt Mel made homemade ice cream. I got home around 1am, and I didn’t have to stop for gas on the way back; my car made it there and back (with a few side trips around Wooster) with 60 miles to spare on a full tank.
Today I went to a new doctor in Saline and I am so glad I did. She changed my fibromyalgia medicine, and added new allergy and asthma medicines. I get to go back in three weeks for some blood work, and then a week after that for a follow-up. I was shocked that John’s insurance covered all of the prescriptions, but there was a problem at the Walmart pharmacy; they were sold out of one of the inhalers so I had to go to CVS, which is what I was trying to avoid doing in the first place. I find it very amusing that John’s insurance company will cover Allegra and Flovent, both of which total about $200 a month, but they won’t cover Singulair, which is about $120 a month. I’m happy to stick that extra $80 a month to them, though I’d prefer to shove it up their ass…if insurance companies had asses.
