Big sigh of relief.
51099 words. I crossed the Nanowrimo finish line with 3 days to spare. I feel proud. My novel is nowhere near completion. I'm quite a long ways from the ending, plus I have a lot of random pieces to cobble together yet. This isn't even a first draft at the moment, but I do feel pretty damn pleased to have banged out 50,000 words on the keyboard. Well, I suppose a good third of my total was bled out onto notebook pages, dripping from my fountain pen actually. Either way, they are out of my braincase, and have the nebulous of a novel.

My last written, not really quite Bulwer-Lytton line: The point of her knife facing forwards led Gwen into the uncertain safety of this darkness.
