Welcome back one last time, dear viewers. I know it's been quite some time since we wrapped up our season of Farmer Wants A... with Jacob Thomason. We had to wait until their family was safely under way and their children had a chance to grow up without the glare of spotlights and fans trying to peer through their windows before we could air any final updates for Jacob Thomason and Sakura Kinomoto.
Jacob wasted no time whatsoever in proposing to Sakura that she spend the rest of her life with him. Not that it should come as any shock to our viewers, but she immediately accepted.
The two constantly showered attention on each other, waiting for the day they got to call each other husband and wife.
They also found a way to celebrate their engagement, now that they had the house entirely to themselves. (Although our filming crew had left with the end of the show, we did still have our cameras mounted on the walls throughout the house.)
They were both looking forward to seeing their friends again. Just a couple of weeks until their wedding was planned.
The pair found ways to fill their days when they weren't working on preparing for their upcoming nuptuals. And as always, there was the farm that needed constant tending. Jacob commented numerous times that the work seemed to go far more than twice as fast, having Sakura there to help him with the garden and orchard.
Finally, the big day arrived and their friends began to show up, looking very beautiful in their formal outfits.
Jacob eased Sakura's jitters as they waited for the ceremony itself to begin.
The ceremony went off flawlessly. There were more than a few tears in people's eyes and the weather was everything the couple could have hoped for. Jacob and Sakura couldn't have asked for a better wedding day.
The guests had a great time, the food was plentiful and the beat of the music infectuous.
For one of the guests, the day turned out even better than she'd hoped for. Although Sariana had hoped to win Jacob's hand herself, as was evident during her exit interview, she did not begrudge Sakura the love she'd found. But obviously, Sariana was still hoping to find the man of her dreams.
Later in the day, Lynn had gone looking for Sariana to let her know they were ready to cut the cake and found her friend off in a corner getting to know Jacob's best friend from college. Mitch Indie seemed as smitten with Sariana as she was with him. From the smile on Lynn's face, she looks like she approves of Sariana's choice.
With everyone gathered once more, it was time to cut the cake, their first act as husband and wife. Gentleman that he is, Jacob delicately fed his bride the first bite of their wedding cake.
Somehow, it seemed appropriate that Keth Wynne, the first contestant who was voted off during Jacob's season of Farmer Wants A..., is the first person to offer the newlyweds a toast to their successful marriage.
Like any newly married man, I'm sure Jacob can't help wondering how different his life might be if he'd chosen the outspoken and sexually aggressive Magic Beenz instead of his shy and gentle wife. From what we've learned about Jacob during the pre- and post-season, not to mention during filming, he seems to be the type to accept the choices in his life and is at peace with his decisions.
As the party winds down, Jacob lets Sakura know just how happy he is that she has agreed to share his life with him.
