Me in my role as a dork...

I spent the day at Toledo Zoo.  It was quite a bit larger than my zoo and had orangs and giraffes and elephants and a bunch of other stuff that we don't have.  Many of their exhibits were very well done and very naturalistic, but our primates, at least the chimps, have a much better enclosure with actual space to roam around. I know I sound like a dork when I talk about the exhibits instead of the animals, but there is a lot of science involved in creating a good space for captive animals.  Anyway, the best part of the day was being able to hang out with three of my friends from work and be silly in an environment that we know and love, not to mention the fact that we got in free because we are JBZ members.  The zoo was great and if you guys ever get a chance to go, I would snatch it up in a heartbeat.

We stopped by Ann Arbor on the way home and I got to have Icescapes and see my brother, his wife, their dog, my sister, and her boyfriend, so all in all, it was a wonderful day.
