Update from the Middle East

Oi Thar!

In case anyone has been wondering what I've been up to far the past while, today's your lucky day. My ship got underway in Nov and at some point in time we manage to make our way to the Arabian Gulf. Luckily this time of year it is cold instead of hot, and hopefully we will leave before the heat arrives. Anyway, this might be a shorter update than I intended do to the limits of what I can and can't say.

Well, to cover my ass you can read on what we are doing at this site: www.germantown.navy.mil They have a bunch of powerpoints with a bunch of pics that I may or may not be in, I'm not sure I haven't looked at it (lol). In any case, at the very least I can say we are trying to do good things so that people can live with some sort of normality on the high sea. Also, saw a dead whale (not sure if that's noteworthy, and no we did not kill it) which was different and a few interesting things float by once in a while.

In my bursts of spare time I practice the guitar, play my psp, write, and once in a while watch movies. Not the most interesting of things but eh, it is what it is. My new email, and the only one you can reach me at underway, is farkasj@lsd42.navy.mil. Also, they've started blocking livejournal on the ship so I won't see any replies you make. Hope to be back soon and among the civilians. Navy, it's a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

Jason out yo.
