Project in the works
Today we can do something that was a bit more expensive when we were younger. We can record our own stories, the life or family history. My Mom is the last person that remembers a good deal of my family history. My Father rarely spoke about his side of the family. So many pictures that I don't have names to go with.
But I have a small camera that shoots HD content, a tripod and a laptop. My next visit I plan on sitting down with a box of photos and asking questions, recording what family history I can. I also plan on taking film of my Niece and Nephew with her and their folks.
So much is lost when someone passes, I wish I had this around when my Father and Grandfather were able to tell me their stories of their time in the Wars, what it was like growing up, and what they remembered of their family (tree). Memories fade over time, I know disks will not last for ever but every few years they can be copied over to a new media.
