Approximately translated as, "it's not pie," it means that something is tricky
~ Clotilde Dusoulier

....finding out slowly how much this applies to life in general....it certainly is not pie, but the saying certainly is pretty and even better in French. So maybe its how we interpret life, even at its bleakest, that makes it appealing.

summer? yeah right... i wish
for the past 35 days, we have had 5 days without rain
apparently the rain in Maine says mainly in Maine
however, it is nice to stay in on a day like today
watch 'Rear Window' and 'North by Northwest', convieniently tivo'ed on Alfred Hitchcock day on TCM
make guacamole, open the windows
and entertain the thought of going for a run today
with no actual intention of going through with it....
summer is a state of mind i guess.

Lisa: The last thing Mrs. Thorwald would leave behind would be her wedding ring. Stella, do you ever leave yours at home?
Stella: The only way somebody would get that would be to chop off my - finger. Let's go down to the garden and find out what's buried there.
Lisa: Why not? I always wanted to meet Mrs. Thorwald.

Only Grace Kelly can scale an apartment building in a full skirt and heels and still look elegant. I can't even walk down a level street like that.
