Have you ever been out to dinner with one other person, and when you go to sit down, they sit on the same side of the table as you? It is surreal.

I have seen it done before and always wondered what it would be like. I think it would be very strange.

rules with a girl. doesn't rule with a dude.

sitting face to face has a more business-like feeling (negotiations, etc, but also courtship and building rapport). side by side just seems more comfortable and relaxed. like driving in a car. but with food.

as a concept i agree with you, but it is alot different in application.
