Perpetual Loser.

Yeah, I feel like a real jackass right now. It's another of Fareme's OMG NEED MONEY WILL DO ARTS post. :/ I know I still owe quite a few people digital commissions - I am trying to work on getting my software fixed so I can finish them. Most of you digital commissioners have already been contacted and offered compensation. If you haven't, please feel free to say something here about it and I'll happily remedy that. I have been getting through my real media commissions pretty well though, and that's what this post is about.

Actually, this is going to be a bit different from my usual commissions, and I'm going to try something I haven't tried before. I'm going to offer some SKETCHBOOK commissions. It seems to me a small number of artists have done these before so I thought I would give it a shot.
SO ANYWAY here is the pickle. We have been putting off re-registering our car and getting a new insurance policy for it for some time now because well, it's pretty damn expensive from month-to-month in living expenses. It's our own fault, admittedly, but anyway.. it /needs/ to be taken care of as soon as possible. Unfortunately my whole paycheck has gone to bills and groceries, as usual, and this really cannot wait until my next payday, as we are avoiding driving the car and Malcolm can only carpool to work for so long.
SO I am offering these commissions to help offset the cost of the insurance policy, mostly, as the registration is kindly being taken care of by my Mom. We also have to take the car to be smogged, which will probably put us another 100 or so in the hole, depending on if we have to fix anything. Based on the quotes I've obtained thus far for insurance, I am aiming to make around 300$. I know that's quite a bit of money, and I must say again that I feel like a real jerk for posting this. But honestly, I don't know what else to fall back on when we're in a bind. If I can draw my way out of it, I've certainly always tried. I'm not asking for donations or handouts or anything charitable - I want to work for what I get.
So I'm going to offer THREE sketchbook commission slots for 100$ each, paypal preffered but not a must if the money can otherwise arrive fairly quickly.
Why am I charging 100$ freakin' dollars for a bunch of sketches? Well, lemme make it more worth it for you.
I'll offer two full color pics outside of the sketchbook, with up to three characters in them. I'll also offer to ink 10 of the sketches of your choice from the sketchbook. So that's 60 sketches, 10 inks, and 2 full color pieces for 100$. If you do the math, that comes out to less than 2$ per drawing.
As for the subject of the sketchbook - that's entirely up to you. It could be a theme, or just character sketches, sketches for your friends, etc etc. You can email me a few ideas at a time, or as they come to you, or you can just say GO FOR IT throw me a couple character sheets and sit back. Anything you want to do!
Now, another reason I'm offering these is because I think they will be relatively easy to keep up with, and give me something to work on while I'm not working on other commissions. It also gives me a chance to span out these projects over a period of a few months. I'm perfectly willing to make weekly or bi-weekly scans of your sketches and email them to you.
So anyway, I don't want this post to get /too/ long so I'll wrap it up. I'm not sure what to expect with this as I've never offered a full sketchbook before so we'll see how it goes.
Remember, these are 100$ each, and the price includes the cost of the sketchbook and eventual shipping. I AM going to ask for the money up front so this can be taken care of ASAP but if you're not willing to pay everything up front then I will ask that you put at least 75$ down and the rest on completion of the project.
Also feel free to pass this post around if you feel so inclined. If you pay with paypal, please also add 3$ to the 100$ total to cover paypal fees. I normally wouldn't do this, and usually eat the paypal cost myself, but right now every penny helps.

Sketchbook slots:

2.

As to the rating of the sketchbook, I am willing to do adult-rated pictures as long as they do not contain things I am not willing to draw, of which I will gladly discuss with you.
