Here's an update on my current situation in life:

My Psychology course has ended and I got a VG(equivalent to a B I guess? But don't that my word for it) on it. Eatherway, I'm happy pretty about that!
I'm also ALMOST done with my math course, I just have one test left that I must retake for the third time... oh well. I'll try my best still, I ( Read more... )

Ah but I think it might be because there aren't that many Grindeldore shippers...
In my area I know only one avid fan, who was brought into the fandom by me.

There aren't? I must've got the wrong picture then...I thought it was a pretty popular ship you see.
I see, well at least you know/managed to convert one! :D
I've got fangirl friends but I don't feel like I can really fangirl about Grindeldore with them that much, at least not seriously. I can tell them that I like the pairing and all that but in the end I'm pretty sure that they're not as interessted(or make that infatuated) with it as I am, so I'd rather not bother them with my fangirl ramblings.

Really? If it is, I didn't notice... most people I know were grossed out about the idea of the 'oh so very old Dumbledore' actually being young and in love.

It takes a lot to gross me out, so the idea of young Dumbledore and Gellert being together just sounds wonderful to my ears. (I could also add that I wouldn't mind shipping them as older men as well but I get the feeling that most Grindeldore shippers only like to ship them as their younger selves. However, I really like the idea of Dumbledore still having feelings for Gel even after their fight in 45, a broken, tragic kind of love perhaps, but still.)
I think you're lucky to have your own 'Gellert', it seems like so much fun to do the kind of cosplays that you two do. :D

I agree. I too ship them through their whole lives.

It sure is fun! Of course, we do other costumes too and our group is larger or we just join other groups temporarily, but Grindeldore is sort of our 'baby'.
And yes, I'm lucky. I was just getting used to the idea of only having co-shippers on the internet when shortly after I introduced her to the pairing she asked "Well, how about we do them for the next cosplay meeting?" I was thrilled <3
