"I’ll help you," Elias said.
The Howarth’s car stopped at Lawndale North Elementary School.
"I guess we’ll have to wait for somebody?" Wolfgang Shuhardt said.
"Or someone gets out and looks for the emerald here?" Henrieka Shuhardt asked.
"I’ll look for it here," Sara Gibbs said as she got out.
"I will too," Stephanie Olsen said. She also got out and headed to the school.
Adam then drove off.
Cindy and Waylon Brolsma ran into the Ogden’s front door. There was a flash of lightning and a simultaneous clap of thunder. "I think the lightning just struck this house," Cindy said as the door opened.
"It seems that way," Chip said, as she allowed Cindy and Waylon inside.
"Great, that lightning struck the aerial. The TV’s gone," Melinda said.
"Great!" Chip said. ‘As if this distortion isn’t enough,’ she thought.
Karen Michaels then came in, having followed Cindy and Waylon there. "What a wash-out, can I stay here?" she asked.
"Go ahead, anyone can come in, except if their name is Dennis Monk," Belinda said.
"I understand," Karen said.
"We’ll there are books..." Chip said as she lead the new visitors to the bookshelf at the back of the small living room.
Back at Schloss Morgendorffer, Scott and Helena didn’t find the emerald anywhere.
"We’re off," Scott said.
"Bye," Quinn said.
"You wasted your time," Daria said.
"Why do you say that, Daria?" Quinn asked.
"We had already determined that it wasn’t here, and they ransacked my room," Daria said.
"Sorry about that," Scott said.
"It wasn’t that bad, ‘Ari’," Quinn said.
"I have to agree with Quinni, Daria," Elias said.

Back at Schloss Morgendorffer (as Daria and Jane called the place sometimes), Mystik Spiral, as in Max and Nick, were still bickering.
"I can go look," Jeffy said.
"Good, but Trent may have parked you in," Daria said.
"No, I didn’t, I parked it where you had parked it, Daria," Trent said.
"Ok then, but where did you have in mind?" Daria asked.
"The Lawndale Mall, that’s where I would go," Jeffy said.
"Sure, who wants to join him?" Daria asked.
"I will," Stacy said.
"So will I," Joey said.
"I will too," Samara said.
"Cool," Jeffy said.
"Tiffany?" Stacy asked.
"I’ll wait for Mommy," Tiffany said.
"Ok," Stacy said.
"Let’s go," Jeffy said.
The quad quickly left, saying that they would be back later in the night.
Jane turned on the kitchen radio. "Just what I was thinking," Daria said.
"Sure," Jane said.
It was 5:34 when Sandi called She had called a taxi. (It was waiting in the traffic circle at the front of the school as she spoke.)
"Elias. You are not, like, here at Lawndale High! Where are you?" she demanded.
"I’m at Cluster Burger," he said.
"You had better be, like, there when I get there!" she threatened.
"Maybe," Elias said as he signed off.
A short time after this Nicole asked Elias "Don’t you think that it may be time that you got away from here?"

Brittany placed the 'Doo Dad' that Kevin had 'Shrinkaged' back on the shelf. "No more, Shrinkage, Kevie!" she said.
"But Babe, Mrs. Bennett wants us to do it!" Kevin said.
Brittany glared at him. "No, Kevie, She meant something else!"
"Really, then what?"
Brittany twirled her hair in thought. "To examine its effect on something," she said.
"Oh."
Andrea waited outside Insensory. She saw Upchuck come up to the store. "You said you wanted to swap coupons, you feisty maiden of darkness?"
"Yes, you creepy casanova!" She held out the coupon that she had been given.
Upchuck grabbed that coupon and handed the Insensory coupon to Andrea, who then dashed away from him into the store.
"Feisty."
