Excerpt from: The Engineer and the Time Lady
She materialised and ran to the nearest window, which she smashed by extending the staff against it. Octavius had stopped a level above.

“Hand her over!” Spider-Man said.

“Of course,” Octavius said as Nina clambered out the window, her hearts beating fast.

“Easy now!” Spider-Man said as he reached for the hostage.

'No No No!' Nina thought as her panic started rising. Octavius then let the hostage go; letting her fall towards the ground!

“Baffin!” Nina started before Spider-Man shot a web line, catching the falling woman. He flung her upwards. Octavius then started laying into Spider-Man.

'His focus is on him,' Nina thought quickly. There was definitely something she could do.

“Spider-Man's on the scene,” Aialah reported as Nina climbed out the window, dodging falling masonry.

Spider-Man knocked Octavius aside and began climbing.

Nina looked at Octavius, who began to climb up after him. “No!” she cried out, only to have an actuator knock her off the building! “Baffin, emergency beam up!” She panicked for a second or two, before she felt a transporter beam.

Excerpt from: Major Decision Point - A
“One of them escaped,” Katelyn said.

Seven moved to the operations console. “The escape pod has jumped to warp,” she reported.

“Why would an escape pod have a warp drive?” Tuvok wondered. “Nonetheless we'll take stock of our situation before resuming course.”

Seven nodded.

Kathiannah's holo avatar appeared on the bridge, next to Tuvok. “I can answer that question.”

Tuvok raised an eyebrow. “Really?”

“Yes,” Kathiannah said. “It was Daniel.”

Everyone, except Katelyn, looked at Daniel. “I mean, if someone was forced to escape Kathiannah I was sure that they would need to escape at warp, and get back to Voyager. Circumstances have changed of course.”

“You mean, all of the escape pods have warp drives?” Munroe asked.

“No,” Katelyn answered.

Tuvok and Seven looked at her.

“I knew what Daniel was doing,” Katelyn answered. “Only half of them do.”

“I see,” Tuvok said.

“I will have to brief you two, later,” Tuvok decided. He turned to the holo avatar. “But for now, resume course to the Ixaroan Homeworld.”

“Aye, Commander,” Kathiannah responded. “Course laid in at Warp 8.”

Kathiannah changed course and jumped to warp.

“We also need to make a decision about the other terrorists,” Seven said.

“We can leave them behind in a non warp-capable escape pod,” Tuvok said. “Along with a distress beacon.”

Haru nodded and followed Muta into the Bureau.

Baron Humbert von Grikkengen saw Haru enter the Bureau. “Long time no see, Haru,” he said.

“I had a lot of school work,” Haru said.

“I understand,” the Baron said. “I’m glad to see you,” he said as he motioned for Haru to sit.
