Deanna Troi entered sickbay. “Come here, Deanna,” Dr. Beverley Crusher said. “One oversight Starfleet hasn’t really considered. There isn’t a trained veterinarian aboard.”

Elseran gave a derisive snort.

“Look,” Q Junior said. “If you were to take any of the shuttles, you wouldn’t last long against that armada!”

“But what would the alternative be. Voyager and her crew fighting to protect me, leading to my death along with theirs?”

The Doctor moved closer to Martha. “Haru may know something. I can’t put my finger on it.”

“We have heard that there is something unusual about this area,” Martha said.

“This area. Nothing really remarkable about it,” Haru said in a way the suggested she knew something.

“Really?” the Doctor asked.

Shortly after he emerged outside, he heard something behind him. He turned and asked. “Is someone there?” Shortly afterwards there was a strange electronic sound emanating from the passageway. He ran back, but found nobody. ‘I better get back to London,’ he decided.

On the way back to London, especially after leaving Oxford, he felt that he was being followed. It was just as well the motorway had been completed the previous year. He stayed alert, prepared for anything.

The android looked confused. “Inquiry. The word snoop?”

The Captain was incredulous. “Data, how can you be programmed as a virtual encyclopedia of human information without knowing a simple word like snoop?”
