The Bride of Christ
A network of trusted people. Social capital. People who are socially connected tend to be healthier. Churches are effective at breaking down class barriers.
Churches decrease social polarisation.

Unfaithfulness
God reaching out to His people, calling them to Himself.

Paul saw his ministry as preparing the Bride for marriage.

The Church must be morally pure

The church is a fellowship of sinners who are being transformed through Christ.
One day, we'll be as Christ sees us, without stain or blemish.

Satan decieves by subtleties - e.g. Genesis 3:1 -4. Eve couldn't resist the temptation. She didn't have the words. In contrast Jesus did. Matthew 4:3 - 10. We need to know Scripture to refute him.

They had lost their first love for Christ. We need to have that!
The Bride of Christ - It is not one person. It is all of us together.
More than a 'club', for we have the Spirit of God in us.

A place to find peace in God.
