I haven't posted here in a while, not much to say I guess. Been having more fun reading the entries of others than posting my own I guess. So, what's new~
I signed up for a welding class. I was a certified Navy welder for about 10 years, and if I end up doing that next year after I retire, I won't mind. So I signed up for a night class at the local college that is geared towards getting civilian certification.
After getting my tuition assistance unfucked this morning (ever have those days/weeks/months/years where crap just gravitates towards you like a giant black hole) I stopped by an education fair that was being held nearby and had 2 good things happen. 1st, they had M&M chocolate chip cookies there (Yow!) and 2nd, there was a rep there from Vincennes College I talked to last year about combining my previous college credits with my military experience to get a degree. The rep remembered me (we used to be on the Lincoln at the same time) and I started the ball rolling to actually get something done.
I swear, I am my own worst enemy. I am lazy, and I constantly am fighting inertia to get things done. It's usually not a problem, but my education has suffered as a result of this. Well, Yoiks and away! Time to get something done. Even if it is for my own good.
