An update, ZOMG!
Well well well, it has been a very long time since i have updated on this thing. I donut know why I just haven't gotten around to it.
An update on this things I have gotten up to this year:
Got into the Major I was aiming for (interactive games design, only 10 places!) Passed all of my courses, enjoying uni and enjoying holidays even more. Might have to move house since Sara is moving out and there is no point paying so much rent for 3 people. SO either getting a 4th or moving, either way should be interesting.
Got a Nintendo wii, its friggin awesome, the xbox and ps3 have nothing on its innovative controller design, its size and its backwards compatibility, even plays sega mega drive games. Twilight princess was a very good add on to the Zelda series, easily one of the best games I have played. Cant wait to get a projector and have the Wii hooked up to that for Wii sports too.
Clubbing with old $omerset friends was fun, nice to catch up with people I haven't seen in ages. Hope that the remaining people at the end enjoyed to soccer and hope to catch up again sometime.
Also I am planning to have a party in the nearish future, don't know when but sometime in the holidays.
And now where I am at now:
These last few days have been pretty bad for me. Got caught for speeding 15k, over the limit (fair enough) but then the police officer decided to charge me for driving in the right lane (in a zone above 80km/h) and not be overtaking someone...it was 2:30AM and NOONE was around, big friggin whoop. Then he was going to charge me for not having my P's on but that would have cost me my license so he didn't...yay -_-'
So now the two tickets I got cost me 3 demerit points and $231 EACH which has put me a bit back on my saving up for a new projector. Thankfully my car started as I left since I had been having an issue with the -ve connection terminal to the battery coming loose and having to pop the bonnet and tightening it up to restart the car. So yah, down to 2 demerit points left, so if I get a broken tail light or something thats my license gone.
The next day on the way to work the battery decided to disconnect, now my knowledge of cars says that it will be fine...boy was I wrong. Turns out that the VX-i engine that my car makes (being a prototype of the new VVT-i engine Toyota now uses) which uses variable valve timing which is computer based. So I was driving along with the lights on, rain wipers on and music playing and then the engine stops. Bad thing i am in the right lane with a car behind me and two cars in the lane beside me and NO BREAK LIGHTS AND NO INDICATOR LIGHTS working!! I went for the emergency lights which didn't turn on (obviously) and then merged into the left lane (luckily) then as I went down an empty street my power steering stopped and the car completely locked up (but the breaks) so i just stopped, diagonal, in the right lane. whew...no mishaps, got beeped at but thats fair. Put the terminal back in and was off again.
The reason it stopped was the computer didn't get enough power from the altinater (the thing that turns the engine turning into power) since it was being taken from other things.
Also having a friend say they like me when I don't like them more than a friend and them getting pretty upset about that didn't help.
So that has been the past 2 days, things arnt really going my way. Oh wells should only get better.
