Part of the reason I'm following the Casey Anthony case very closely is because both Bill Rodriguez (for the defense) and Arpad Vass (for the prosecution) are both graduates from UT Knoxville and have studied under Bill Bass at the Body Farm. It's fascinating that they're being put on opposing sides in this court case.

When I was training to get my taphonomy certificate at the University of Tennessee, I did get to see Vass's odor experiments taking place, the resulting technology of which is being used for the first time in court with this case. It's kind of neat stuff. Um, if you're me.
