I seem to like putting onomatopoeia in my subject lines. Whatever.

So I've now been at school for a week, been back at work for two shifts, and my room is still looking like a bomb hit it but I should get the rest of my stuff unpacked this weekend. I had a fairly good night at the bar on Monday and a horrendous night on Wednesday... my boss made some noises about getting me to work Saturday instead of Monday which would be awesome.

For the people who have been inquiring about my schedule, here's what it looks like this semester:

M - 2:00 Stage Management
T/Th - 9:25 Chaucer, 10:50 Early American Literature
T - 6:00 Youth Literacy Seminar
W - 10:30 Scene Design I
F - 10:00 Tech Theater

So overall, not a horrible schedule, but you can see why I don't like working Mondays... because if I have to not only function through Chaucer at 9:30 in the morning but keep going all the way through 8:30 in my Youth Lit class, after closing the bar at 2am? Hell to the no.

I stopped by the shop this afternoon and we put a rail on what we've been calling the Staircase of Death, which is basically the back staircase into the two-story set. So now it's no longer a Staircase of Death, now it's just a Staircase of Possibly Severe Injury (it's pretty steep). We also have the trap into the basement level uncovered because apparently there's a basement apartment in the show, so we have actors exiting there. I had to sweep out the basement and MY GOD. I don't know when the last time someone vacuumed/swept under that stage was, but there was a layer of dirt and dust that was probably an inch thick on the floor.

Now I'm going to take a short nap, because I ate a pretty big dinner and now I'm kind of going into a food coma.
