I am not going to do anything today. Yesterday was hectic, stressful and I think I'm still recovering.
I knew it was going to be a bad day when Twitter went down - I don't want to sound like I'm a Twitter addict or anything, but there are very few things I waste my time on, and that's one of them. I get all my breaking news from Twitter because I can't stand the TV anchors anymore :|
Then I had to drive over to my gramma's house, pick up my little brother, and take him to the doctor because he has swimmer's ear. Driving on the freeways in Houston - not fun. The only good thing was that we managed to hit the HOV lane on the way to the doctor's office, but our doctor is at TC Jester on the North Loop, which sucks.
After the doctor's office, we swung by Walgreens and got his prescription (ear drops). Got home, hoping to sit down, write the information for
Running in Seattle, the Shadowrun game I'm starting on LJ [/shameless plug].
Then mom comes upstairs and says I need to take our dog Zeke to the vet because he's sick. Apparently, he threw up a lot day before yesterday, and yesterday he was lying around being lethargic and generally not himself, plus he had diarrhea. So we took him to the vet, but the receptionist said that the vet was in surgery so we would have to bring him back later.
I come back home to find our other dog Brodee has gotten ahold of a roll of duct tape and has proceeded to chew it up because nobody was downstairs watching him while I took Zeke to the vet.
Two hours later, my mom and I take Zeke back to the vet. He ends up costing us over $100 (ouch). Last night I sat downstairs for most of the night making sure he was okay. Poor puppy.
So yeah, yesterday sucked. Today I'm going to hopefully get my Talim props sanded and sealed so I can start painting them in a couple days. I'm still having to keep an eye on Zeke because while he is feeling better, he's still not his old self.
AND! Apparently the DDoS on Twitter, LJ and Facebook might have been perpetrated by Russian politicos targeting a high-profile Georgian (the country, not the state) blogger. Which could explain why LJ is still on the fritz, because it's - oh I don't know - owned by the Russians? And people wonder why I switched to DW :|
