24 Jan--Faramir post in which he: has to tell
Boromir what he has done. Gets torn a new one before Boromir walks away.
Talks with
Rachel, who is disappointed in Faramir but doesn't walk away. Gives advice on how long he should wait before asking to speak with Sophie.
Lilah Morgan is non-judgmental. (Hey, she got sent to hell.) Suggests drinking, which he doesn't want to do for fear he'll act like a dumbass again. She also suggests chocolate can be helpful. FTB for hot cocoa/tea/whatever.
Finally has the opportunity to tell
Dr. Koscuisko that he does not blame village Koscuisko for what the island version did. It makes little difference and they'll continue to avoid each other, but Faramir finally said it.
25 Jan--The fight in the park with the
kraken. (Entire) After training in the park, goes to investigate the noise by the lake.
Fights, takes chunks of tentacle off, gets whomped, and makes his way to the clinic with the help of Charles Ofdensen. (Left arm injured.) The monster ends up small and purple.
27 Jan--Talks with
Shasta and Bree in the stables. Mostly Bree, who has sent Shasta out. Bree is majorly disappointed in Faramir and knows Shasta will be badly hurt. Bree will give him a chance, though.
29 Jan--Goes to the
shop with the blue door for some comfort food. Polgara is disappointed with the situation and that Glaurnaneth is unable to feel guilt. She feeds Faramir and gives sympathy, despite also stating that she wishes Sophie will give him a good kick in the bits. (He did wrong her, after all.) Some discussion of books as coping mechanisms and questioning to make sure Faramir is eating enough. (Yes, mother.)
29 Jan--Later that day, when the library closes, has a talk with
Richard. He lives, but boy is Richard pissed off. First hears of the rumours that she used magic on him. Richard's confused because he's not used to giving a crap, which is probably helping to piss him off further. Caring about people sucks. Faramir wonders why she chose him. Richard knows--book stuff. Richard will give him a chance.
29 Jan--Back in the hotel,
Glaurnaneth gives a knock. Glaurnaneth mentions her Sunday morning chat with Sophie (source of the rumours). Faramir says that she should not apologise if she feels no guilt. Glaurnaneth tries to make him believe that magic was used, but he doesn't buy it. And she cares what he thinks, and must accept when he says that she won't be helping with his nightmares anymore, nor will she apologise when she doesn't mean it or tell anyone else she used magic on him when she didn't. They plan for moving of the egg--he already promised to do that.
Has short talk with
Blair in the lobby. He met her and helped her to the hotel the same day he met Glaurnaneth. She is settling in and expresses concern over his sling. Moment of doubt about lake monster, but she has been in the village for two months. (Unfinished)
Shasta comes by, having been informed by Bree of the situation. Faramir confirms that what Shasta knows is true and tries to answer his questions about why. Wants Faramir to promise that he will not behave unlike a Captain of Gondor and leader of the Ithilien Rangers again. Faramir cannot make this promise, because he is more than a captain and leader--he is the human being Faramir also, who makes mistakes. He will promise to try and behave honourably. Shasta accepts, seeing part of childhood adoration slip away: Faramir is not perfect. They part as friends and tutor/student.
30 Jan--Sophie does agree to
speak with him and they meet in the lobby and go to Sophie's room. Learns that it is the hotel staff spreading the rumours. He mostly wants to know if she thinks it's worth trying to forgive him and if she will try--he knows this will take time. She agrees and asks if he can take her to dinner soon. She says yes, Friday. She also kisses him on the cheek and he floats back to his room.
