Updates #10 (Faramir returns)

Jul 06, 2007 16:04

June--Faramir returns from Middle Earth along with his horse (soon named Eohir) and all the things he was taking to Henneth Annun. Like mail. Talks with Laura Roslin, who never knew he was missing. Shasta did know he was gone and is most exuberant about his being back. Helps name Eohir. Seen in the street by Sophie and finds out that he's been gone the same amount of time he spent in Gondor, surprisingly. Promises to call very soon about dinner. She's d00med. Talks to Boromir at the stables. Brotherliness ensues.

June--Notices Richard only because he's singing (plot) up in that tree. Richard is happy to see Faramir again and vice versa. Faramir still has a library job and asks Richard to take care of Dr. Koscuisko's library needs if he comes back. Bad island experience (gloss over quickly.) They also have that non-argument when Richard thinks he's a total loser and all-around bad guy and Faramir thinks Richard is full of crap for it.

June--Interrupts a man reading in the park. It's Valentine Brack and he is the book's author. It doesn't get bad until Val makes note of Faramir's name and home. He's obviously read the book and knows Boromir has his brother. And wasn't your father that asshole king? It dosn't end well, though no punches are thrown.

June--Sees Bob/Hrothbert back at the hotel. He's singing just like Richard was and seems to have a talent for it.[Bob is played by Terrence Mann who was featured in a number of Broadway shows.] He is also pleased that Faramir is back and they discuss things like weddings and love vs. true love.

June-- Xena is fishing using her flying parchment. Yes, Faramir was away but returned. She hadn't known anyone except Hercules who could do that. They talk quite a bit about peace and redemption, as well as the Rohirrim and their horses.

June--First date of Sophie and Faramir. The restaurant becomes Brennan's, which is an actual restaurant on Royal Street in New Orleans. Faramir orders wine with assist by Sophie and his dinner by guesswork. He removes the little crustacean from his gumbo and offers to take it home to Sai. This must be why animals like Faramir in canon. Sophie, who was not terribly hungry, eats part of her meal as Faramir suggests--many do that at feasts. Faramir gets O.O at the spice level of Andouille sausage but enjoys. They take a walk after and the moon is nearly full and it's so sappy you could just die. Faramir does ask to kiss Sophie but not at her door--harsh lighting and people could come and all that. First kiss is out in the moonlight. (Awwww. Now gimme some insulin.)

June--In an effort to work some of that off... Faramir returns to the gym. Camulus is his usual crabtastic self and basically tells Faramir that he'd better work this time. Faramir was working--Stildyne never gave him any problems. And his abscence was because he went home. Camulus accepts that and continues on his grumpy way.

June-- Nancy Botwin in her underwear in the swimming pool. Drunk. Faramir is worried and jumps in fully dressed to make sure the non-responsive woman is not hurt. She's okay, just drunk. How about we get out of the pool and you can get back to your room? If it wasn't Faramir, I'd say the man had intentions. He helps her back to her room where she is safe and goes to sleep.

June--In which Faramir learns that Shasta and Bree know William Johns. They talk about Shasta's cannonballing at the pool, William's correcting of it, and women (mostly relating to swimming pools) but also women who fight. New concept for Shasta. Bree catches the vibe between Faramir and William and figures it all out. Is a mostly peaceful chat with bits of discomfort here and there.

June--Is surprised to see Max Guevara walking through town. Calls her name though of course it's a different Max. Has to explain this and the village. Max is uncertain about safety factors but allows Faramir to show her to the hotel.

June--Notices someone familiar in the park. It is Apollo from the island. His implants work here and he glows like the sun. They speak of the island a bit and people who are here. Faramir ends up having to say that some people are here but not the same as before, including Dr. Koscuisko, who Apollo had once got drunk with. Ended up saying what Andrej had done, shocking Apollo. Faramir hadn't wanted to speak ill of Apollo's friend and the man here isn't the same, it just happened. They end on a more positive note on how decent the village is.

June--Napping in the park with a pile of magazines around her, Sugar is still uncertain about her wedding dress. Faramir thinks that A) Boromir won't notice the dress until after the ceremony and B) he will find a place for them to live by the wedding, even if it's not possible to do so. (Unfinished)

June--Faramir goes to Polgara's and asks for advice about modern women. There is no guide--you on your own. No more summary needed.
