25 December--Sees Nick sitting in the rec room early Christmas morning. Speaks with him a little bit about the holiday and the tree. Gets a gift and leaves Nick to his giving, as he seems to have a lot of it to do. (Unfinished?)

31 December--Is awake in the night with nightmares. Is sleeping a bit better and happy to be in his own room but notes has been losing weight. Is also concerned about New Year's Eve party, which he's allowed to go to. Is uncertain if he's ready to face so many people but thinks he'll try it.

31 December--The New Year's Eve party: Enters early, somewhat nervous about being in public again with a lot of people around. Is greeted by Mike Pinocchio, who's noticed Faramir hasn't been around and only marginally read the paper. Faramir tries to explain his reasons for wishing to live on the other side of the island for a while (when the weather improves and he can leave the compound at night) and mentions that he's no longer going to be godfather to Bridget and Richard's baby. Mike is one of the few he told. Offers the spare bow that he made for Connor, which Mike will come and get at a later date, a party not being the place to carry that around.
Sees Ragetti drinking rum and sitting on the couch. Comes over, learns about the food and alcohol in the kitchen, and takes a trip there himself getting a bottle of Elven wine and a grabbing a bite to eat before returning to the couch to drink and talk a bit. Ragetti's getting really drunk and Faramir isn't, but it doesn't matter. It's a party. (Witnesses Yuri's bop-by.)
Sees Alan Shore with several bottles of alcohol in the hall (Clue!). Offers to help when Alan explains that he's saving them for, um posterity, yeah. Asks about the lawbooks also hidden away in the closet downstairs but they're too advanced. Alan will let him know if he finds something more basic Faramir can read and Faramir leaves Alan to drink his scotch in peace.
Sees Severus (the Grouchy) and says hello. Trys the firewhisky but prefers Elven wine, which he shares with Severus, there being too much for any one man who doesn't want to get sick-drunk. The speak of the shared dream when they visited Minas Tirith. (Unfinished)
At some point in here, Faramir does go to the kitchen and have more food, so the about four glasses of wine have made him merely tipsy. He's not had such a fine meal in years, for all its strangeness, and leaves the party before midnight.
