9 December--Faramir is now allowed out of the compound during the day. He makes a trip to his cave to get some things and then walks out. Sees Sirius and asks him if he minds if he finishes the Harry Potter books. Sounds like he's mental with his "I'm allowed out now" and no, still hasn't learned to tell people to fuck off. (Unfinished as of 19 Dec.)
Runs into Shelly, aka Six and has an odd (polite) conversation about omens--cold weather being an omen of bad news. She thinks that justice was present for Faramir though people should have been more lenient (!) and is very surprised that Faramir believes that he's still going home. His faith in the book and his future is almost encouraging to her. She says she'll pray for him and he can't help but wonder what she's lost by being on the island.
Sees Severus and says he's now out during the days. Also that he never really spoke much with Voldemort (Severus approves.) Still has a place to sleep in the compound, which is good. (Unfinished as of 19 Dec.)
Runs across Cersei and has the opportunity to apologise. It's not accepted and Faramir is told that he's now worthless to the queen of Westeros. Also that her brother would have been angry and vengeful if Faramir had succeeded in his not-seduction, whether Cersei had been willing or not. At least she leaves when he asks.
10 December--Goes to the basement and finds a flannel shirt. Notices Captain Harkness doing his laundry. (Noticed by, really.) The captain is pleased that Faramir's out and Faramir tries to say that he believes that Captain Harkness would not hurt him--that there would not have been any 'it could have been the other way round' but Jack says otherwise, that he's not a good person. There are films (Torchwood.) Faramir is confused because Richard, the ex-convict, could not have hurt him that way but he could hurt others and Jack, also apparently welcome in society, could hurt people. Life's little ironies.
10 December-- Captain Jack Sparrow has put up a notice for the pirate crew to gather. Faramir goes for the first time to the Black Pearl and learns that there's, well, just bad news. Oh shock, they can't leave the island. Faramir's not worried. BTW, I've been locked up for the past almost three months. Like the pirate cares. Faramir gets a tour of the ship.
Talks to Ragetti, who catches Faramir's attention because he's playing with his wooden eye. People with missing body parts aren't new to him. He tries to get Ragetti to be able to say 'Faramir' and there's no 'mister'. Not a captain anymore and don't even bother with the 'lord' title. Ragetti knows a ship and Faramir doesn't. Don't worry about where he came from and all, but sure I'll have a look at the canon. Ragetti knows what's what here and Faramir will learn.
Sees Veronica (Mars) and is surprised because she doesn't look any more like a pirate than he does. Her father was sheriff back home and she's always had an interest in pirates. She too is surprised that he thinks he'll return home, though doesn't say that aloud. He's surprised that she doesn't think they'd welcome her back home--possible misunderstanding of the word 'reception'. (Unfinished)
11 December--Is hit by a snowball thrown by Logan, who is on the roof. Thinks it's Sirius at first but Logan comes down. Faramir is shocked when Logan accepts his apology.
(Logan knows what it's like to fuck up.) Faramir now has three apologies, one refused (Cersei), one gone (Lucius) and one unknown (Buffy.)
11 December--Comes across Giacomo Cassanova at the frozen waterfall. (No introductions made.) Is looking for ice to make sculpture. (Unfinished)
12 December--After his regular appointment with Agent Starling, Faramir goes into the rec room. Sees the film cannisters for Lord of the Rings and is amused because he can't load them. The projector is there and loaded, but with Singin' in the Rain. Faramir presses button and watches his second movie--in colour! (Untagged post.)
12 December--Sees Sirius Black kissing a bottle of firewhisky--his item, along with his old leather jacket. Should I leave you alone? (Unfinished)
13 December--Sees newly-arrived James Bond. His new arrival speech is rusty and kind of confused with the island's not being tropical and all. Don't need the gun here, though. (Unfinished)
13 December--Christmas carols in the rec room because River and
Kate are decorating the tree that Marv brought in. Faramir gets a kiss on the cheek from River, thanks to the mistletoe. Is fascinated by what they're doing though has no idea of what he could use for decorations. He watches them work.
13 December--Night is approaching but Faramir notices Wednesday Addams perform poetry and fall into the snow outside the compound. He is pleased to hear the poetry though he can't talk long due to the time. Oh yes, knows nothing at all about the Bermuda Triangle and was not poisoned by the Mallorn leaf that brought him to the island.
15 December--As a result of a conversation (dated 22 November) between Agent Starling and Alan Shore,, Faramir gets a visit from Alan.
16 December--Faramir is out. Is seen by Severus, who comes to say hello. (Unfinished as of 19 December.)
Also sees Bridget in the rec room. Wants her to have Boromir's cloak so she'll be warm. (Unfinished as of 19 December.)
21 December--After the second edition of the Tabula Rasa Times comes out, Faramir is distressed over William de Worde’s editorial. Ragetti comes in and Faramir reads the article to him. Apparently they can use your name in the newspaper without asking you. And yours is here too, in the squid article. Faramir reads this to Ragetti also. (Links to both pages of the newspaper in this thread.)
William himself comes into the rec room and they discuss what William hopes to accomplish by his editorial. Discussion is cut short-Faramir is short-tempered due to lack of sleep and does not want to get into misunderstandings with William. He goes off to get some rest.
21 December--Sees the feral Death who is hunting on the shortest day of the year. Points her in the direction of game.
