Updates #43 The Opposite Plot

Sep 27, 2006 21:08

These are in chronoligical order as I time them, not as they were written/finished

Just past midnight on Saturday, 16 Septemper 2006 Faramir wakes up, goes back to sleep, wakes again and assumes that the island is having him on. It is, but not like he thinks. He encounters Jack Harkness and things go downhill rapidly. Violence and disturbing imagery. Faramir keeps Jack on ice while he goes out to do some things... (Assault #1)

Faramir emerges to throw the Horn of Gondor in the sea. He's witnessed by Bernard Black, who he's never met and doesn't really meet now. He moderately intimidates Bernard, who gives him leaves (thinking of them as books) and Faramir thinks he's being mocked or that there might be a Mallorn leaf in there. He ends up stalking off. (Luckily for Bernard.) He next meets Opposite Logan, who only wants to apologise. Faramir is nasty and abusive, eventually grabbing Logan by the hair. Were it not for the massive adrenaline surges giving him the shakes, Faramir would have beat Logan into the ground. As it is, he yells and freaks Logan out. Logan is as kind as he can be and asks Faramir if he needs a doctor. Faramir tells Logan to go away and Logan actually does. (Assault #2)

After stealing rum from Anamaria, Faramir goes to compound and sees Opposite Romana who is kissing the jukebox and being very girlish. Faramir offers to kiss her instead. He flatters her and tries to manipulate things to someplace more private. (Unfinished, but Romana was most willing to kiss but too child-like at this point for anything else. Strike-out #1.)

A walk-by insulting of Opposite Aziraphale who was only looking for a cigarette.

Encounters seductively-dressed Opposite Maladicta (not that he knows who she is) sitting on the pool table. Flirts with her. She's rather more interested in biting than kissing. After a bit of verbal sparring, she turns him down and he turns to leave. She wonders that he hasn't struck her so he punches her in the face. Strike-out #2 and his third assault of the day. After Faramir leaves, Ray Kowalski comes in and determines that Faramir is the one who punched Maladicta.

Wonders why he was wasting his time on rum when he sees Opposite Jane Bennet and Opposite Sacharissa wearing almost nothing, swimming/making out in the sea. He remarks about the lack of real men to entertain them and joins them. (Unfinished but determined by e-mail that it would not lead anywhere as both ladies are virgins. Strike-outs #3 and 4 at the same time. Knows Sacharissa only as 'Sax'.)

Meets Opposite Lucius, who is arranging the books in the rec room for his 'boyfriend Severus'. Faramir beats him bloody and wants to know where Severus is. Lucius doesn't know. Faramir threatens him and kicks him, leaving him on the floor. (Assault #4.)

Insults and threatens Dick Casablancas into giving him a joint, which he puts in his pocket before leaving.

Sees John Sheppard in the rec room. Throws a pool ball at the jukebox and otherwise weirds John out by talking oddly and making such morbid comments as wondering if they got to go home if they died on the island.

Sees Opposite Cersei on the beach. Talks with her and flirts, walking a bit. Finally gets a bit more forceful and she's not interested. Since she won't kiss him, he steals a kiss and shoves her away. She takes the opportunity to run, annoying him that he didn't get to insult her about her brother (Jaime Lannister he now knows was with Jack Harkness in the hot springs...) (Strike-out #5 and assault #5.)

Enraged, Faramir returns to his cave where he bathes, insults Jack, eats, and makes Jack Harkness pay because Faramir had a crappy day. Violence, non-con, disturbing imagery. Afterwards, Faramir spindles his own hand on the metal spike in the woodblock and decides it would be funny to read all about his father's death. He doesn't make it that far, getting sidetracked with Boromir. (He plans to read about Denethor the next day but never gets back to it.) Spends the night reading aloud from Lord of the Rings, mostly the end of Fellowship of the Ring and the beginning of The Two Towers, so nothing about himself.

His encounter with Jack put Faramir in mind of who he should have gone to in the first place, so on Sunday he seeks out Buffy. He finds Opposite Buffy and demands a kiss. She refuses but he won't take no for an answer, kisses her anyway, and picks her up, carrying her away. He's stopped by Jayne and Angel. There's a stand-up fight and the two of them gang up, taking him down. They make him apologise for being so rude to Buffy (called her a slut) and Jayne decks him, leaving him unconscious on the beach. (Assault #6)

Faramir wakes after midnight, realises what has happened (though he doesn't know why) and runs to release Jack, who has already escaped. He searches, concerned that Jack is lost in the caves but must give up, prepares himself and goes to the IPD office to turn himself in. He speaks briefly with Dr. Kosciusko, who is going running but is mostly closed-mouthed (unusual for Faramir.) The doctor is too polite to press and leaves. The unfortunate Cam Watanabe is in the office to take Faramir's statement. He radios Fraser and accepts Faramir's weapons as he surrenders himself. Faramir is to be held in the same room as Voldemort (though not the cell) until some decision is made.

A nice chat with fellow-cellmate Voldemort. (Unfinished?)

21 September, it's Faramir's thirty-second birthday (according to the island calendar) and he has some nightmares. Jack Harkness (unknown to Faramir) has read Lord of the Rings and wishes to see him but is prevented from doing so.

The Island Council meeting to determine Faramir's fate. (Will be removed from the council and... Will remain in IPD custody. Receives counselling two hours a week, on Tuesday and Thursday from Agent Clarice Starling. Also allowed out for supervised labour on behalf of the community. Length of confinement unspecified--weeks or months.)
