Updates #30 (Incl. break-up with Buffy)
Monday after the genderswitch...
Faramir sees his first newcomer appear out of nowhere. It's John Grimm, also known as Reaper. Except that Faramir mistakes him for Eomer at first. Reaper does not shoot off Faramir's kneecaps.
Faramir talks to Richard about yesterday's weirdness and they decide that nothing is different. Still friends. They go hunting for wild goat. Meets Abby Sciuto who has read Lord of the Rings and they also talk about the island's tendency to play pranks.
Oh yeah. In between those threads Buffy and Faramir break up.
Archery club: Talks to Tristan, who is in his shooting group. Also in his group, Cordelia Richard is in the group also and he lends his bow. Talks to Richard briefly after the shooting and asks him to come to his cave to talk.
Takes a detour to the kitchen to grab some bread runs into Reaper again. Talk about how odd it is for people to think you're someone else (both Eomer and Vaako) and that Faramir really doesn't like being on the island but... since there's nothing to be done about it, he deals.
Tells Richard about his breakup with Buffy. Richard is not surprised and they talk about things like making Richard a bow of his own and how there are plenty of other women on the island. Perhaps, but Faramir isn't that kind of guy. Richard still is somewhat addled about his own relationship with Bridget, but basically understands where Faramir is coming from.
Meets Captain Jack Sparrow who is, well, relaxed, despite having just arrived. They talk a bit about how Faramir is not the kind of Captain who is going to put Sparrow in irons and that the island is really strange and so just Sparrow's jug of rum. Faramir suggests that Captain Sparrow speak with Sirius Black about the oddness of the previous week (genderswitch) although he doesn't explain. Have a nice day, Captain!
Encounters Saffron (who eventually gives her name as Helen) while getting water. She was taking a bath. He doesn't look, which she finds amusing. He ends up informing her about the presence of the Serenity as he is walking with her to the compound. (unfinished as of 14 April 2006)
Meets Lucius Malfoy who has just arrived. He's fresh from Azkaban and ill-looking so Faramir is sympathetic and helps him to the compound.
Talks very briefly with Toby, who is in a bad mood. Faramir doesn't know why but Toby isn't feeling talky so Faramir offers to leave. (It's about Severus and Annabelle kissing... BTW)
Meets Sansa Stark and Lady. They talk about a few things, including direwolves. (Unfinished as of 14 April 2006) Sees Sirius and mentions the number of new people showing up, including Lucius Malfoy, and sees Buffy for the first time since the breakup. They talk a little bit and Faramir holds her, despite his confusion about what he's supposed to do.
After overhearing a very ugly conversation between Buffy and Richard, Faramir spends the night against a tree wrapped in his cloak. In the morning, Bridget happens by. He tells her he hasn't been sleeping. They talk and she offers him tea, which he's never had before. Chris comes along and Faramir discloses his breakup with Buffy. Chris has some very good ideas of why Buffy might be acting like she does.
