perfume notes...for keiko_sg & me!
L'Artisan L'Eau de L'Artisan - a citrus lover's nirvana. fresh and lasting. mint, basil, lemon, fresh cut grass, and tinge of seaweed.
i like the freshness of this. keiko_sg thinks it's masculine. in an AG Eau d'Hadrien way it is! in my list, but not high up!
L'Artisan Tea for Two - a surge of fresh spices and green anise mingle with ginger and cinnamon infused with a sweet blend of honey and vanilla.
very smoky scent, like BBQ sauce! not distinctive spicy. in fact interesting scent i do like but probably not on myself. tested this on the SO & he thinks this makes him feel like he's in a dark room filled with antique furniture. hmmm i probably cannot force him to wear this! :(
L'Artisan Mimosa - the tiny little yellow flower combined with it's own leaf and stem for a delicate floral scent so green it can almost be described as cucumber.
this is a light floral with a unique twist in it & now i know it's cucumber. i was wondering what it was all the time i was sniffing it on keiko_sg. love this on both of us!
L'Artisan Vanilia - grown up, rich sophisticated vanilla made with both the vanilla flower and bean. a little bit of amber is added for warmth and depth.
this is not what i would normally wear. when i tried, i thought it was some weird spice, now i know it's amber i detest. surprisingly it is not a strong amber note. i like this & love it when it dries down. this is a unique vanilla that i see myself reaching for, nothing sweet or overly foody about this. thumbs up from me! i would have bought this without another thought if only they had this in stock!
Etro Vicolo Fiori - Floral, ultrafeminine, roses and bon bon. Roses cut on May morning, overwhelming white flowers & timid bloom of the waterlily.
i do not detect the rose in this. it's a light bouquet of powdery light flowers. reminds me of CD Forever & Ever! defintely grows on me. though the SO seems to think this has sharp notes that is killing his olfactive senses. keiko_sg on the other hands thinks this smells fresh-out-of-shower kind of scent. i will BUY this!
Quel Amour - sparkling, sweet and generous, the scent of red fruits with a blend of wild roses and peonies in a freshly picked bouquet. here <<-- for more!
distinctive wine peach in this. overly sweet & cloying. end notes are distinctive floral. i smell this much on keiko_sg! NO NO for both of us!
AG Folavril - exotic, piquant, fresh, sweet fruity; mango - boronia - jasmine - tomatoes leafs. here for more!
the mango is this shines through. definitely not sweet as a whole. apparent tomato leaf in this. i do hate tomato juice, i think it's fir for vampires only! anyway this is a unique twist to a scent but when my skin is in the outdoors, this scent is awful on me. imagine me drenched in tomato juice! eeeeksss!
those were the result of our Escentials experience. there were a lot reccomended but NO they were not quite right & we did not quite find out what they are. all that sniffing was good! i could have stayed & sniff them the whole day through. i want another session there for sure!
& keiko_sg, Crabtree & Evelyn Lily of The Valley is just like the Penhaligon we took a whiff off!
