Maou and Ryusei no Kizuna crossover
*Naruse Ryo*
"I found a job," Mrs Shitani told me. She is the mother of the girl that I found with Shiori. She has been unemployed for a while. I am happy for her.
"It's good to know. Where are you going to work?" I ask her.
"It's a restaurant. A small western restaurant. Do come to the restaurant if you have time. You've been helping me a lot so I think I will treat you for lunch or dinner,"
"There's no need for you to do that,"
"No. Please come,"
"Okay, I will come to visit," I smile and promise her.
*Ariake Koichi*
"Ariake-san, can I go and fetch my daughter from school?" the new female worker, Shitani asks me. It's been a week since she works here. Around 5 pm, she will go and take her daughter from work.
"Yes, you may. And, you can just call me Koichi. I'm not used to people calling me by my last name," I told her. She thank me and go outside. There are not so many customers around this time. That's why I let her go and take her daughter.
After 15 minutes, a young guy with suit enter the restaurant. I was about to eat Hayashi rice when he entered the shop. He looks like searching for somebody and I go to him, offering my help.
"Excuse me, sir. Can I help you?" I tell him. He turns to me and smile.
"I'm wondering if you have a worker named Shitani?"
"Oh. She just go to take her daughter from school,"
"In that case, I better go," he was about to go but I hold his hand, try to prevent him from going. He looks surprised with my sudden action. Feeling embarrassed, I let his hand go.
"She will be back in 10 minutes. Why don't you wait for her?" I ask him. I don't know why but there is something attractive about this guy that makes me want to know him better.
He hesitates for a moment before finally nodding his head, agree to my suggestion.
"Yosh, is there anything I should get for you?" he just shaking his head and take a seat at the counter.
At that time, the door open. I turn around to see the annoying guy that I used to hate, Togami Yukinari. However, I start to enjoy his company after he has been helping me and my siblings find the real murderer of my parents.
"Koichi, I want Hayashi rice," it's his usual order every time he comes here.
"We don't have that," the man with the suit looks at me. He looks confused. Maybe because he sees me eating Hayashi rice.
"He wants Hayashi rice that the owner of the shop cooks. He doesn't like the one that I cook," I explain to him even though he didn't ask for it.
"Who says that? It's not that I don't like your Hayashi rice. I just want to eat the proper thing at the proper place," Yukinari looks dissatisfied with my explanation before his attention turns to the suit guy. He looks stunned before continued.
"Aren't you that famous lawyer? The one who is called 'Angelic lawyer'? Naruse Ryo-san, right?"
"Yes, it's him," But, it is not the suit guy, or Naruse who answers. It is Shitani who just coming back from fetching her daughter. Sora-chan, her daughter run towards Naruse and hug him.
"Nii-chan, I miss you," Sora-chan told him. He just smile. Did I say that he has the sweetest smile ever?
"I miss you too. I just have a lot of work today, that's why I didn't visit you. Anyway, thanks for the drawing that you give during my birthday. It's beautiful,"
I just let the three of them chatting while eating. Then, a couple of customers enter the shop. I recognize one of them as Hagimura. He comes with a younger man. Upon seeing Naruse, the younger looks angry. He goes to Naruse and pull out the collar of Naruse's shirt. Hagimura try to calm him.
"Serizawa, control yourself. It's not going to bring you any good if you do that to him," Serizawa looks furious and let go of Naruse's shirt.
"You know the truth, right? You know who kill Soda, right? Can you just tell me who did it?" Serizawa asks him.
"I don't know what are you talking about. And, please, I don't want to make a scene here. You see, Sora-chan is afraid seeing you like that," Naruse tell Serizawa. Watching that, I hurried to their side.
"I would appreciate if you don't fight in my restaurant. You might ruined my business," I told the guy named Serizawa.
"Opps, sorry Koichi. I will make sure he will not cause trouble to you," Hagimura told me and pull Serizawa to a table far from Koichi.
"Sorry to cause you trouble," Naruse told me.
"Oh, it's nothing. But, he really looks angry with you,"
"It's nothing compare to my anger for him," he told me back while eyeing Serizawa. When I look at him, I can sense anger and sadness at the same time. I don't what happened between them but I can guess his grudge for Serizawa is deeper than mine.
"I think I better take my leave now," I heard Naruse told Shitani.
"Eh, isn't it too soon? You haven't eat anything yet,"
"Yes, do you want to get anything to eat?" I suddenly interrupted their conversation. Naruse looks at me before smiling and agreeing to eat Hayashi rice. I don't know why but I feel like melting each time I see his smile. He has the warmest smile ever.
I give him his order before continued to serve several customers that come to my shop. While I'm busy working, Serizawa once again approach Naruse.
"I really need to know who kills Soda," I heard Serizawa tell Naruse. Naruse just smirk before answering.
"Why are you asking me? Why don't you just ask the suspect?"
"Kasai will not kill Soda. Why can't you tell me who did it?"
"I'm not going to tell you who is the murderer. But, I'm going to give you a hint. Human will lie to protect their loved ones,"
"What do you mean?"
"Use your brain. The only reason for Kasai to keep his mouth shut is because he is protecting someone. Perhaps the one he protects is relates to the murderer,"
"Do you know who he is protecting?"
"How much?" ignoring Serizawa, Naruse turns his attention to me. Before I managed to answer, Shitani interrupt us by saying that she will pay for it. Naruse refuses to accept but Shitani insists on it. Finally, he surrenders and then leave the shop. Seeing him leave makes me wonder. Will he comes again? I want to see him so badly.
