Kojiharu graduated?
This post wasn't about her graduation.
I already knew she's going to graduate this year. She announced it during 2016's Senbastu election.
But, I didn't know when is her graduation ceremony. I thought it would be in April. It turns out to be her graduation ceremony was yesterday and the one in April was her graduation stage. Happy graduation, Kojiharu! Now that Kojiharu graduated from AKB48, the only first generation member remained is Miichan but she's going to graduate soon too, right? Even in the original Kami 7, only Mayuyu remained. I thought that I've read somewhere that she was also thinking of graduating.
I don't really like AKB48 in the beginning because there were too many of them. The only one I know back then was Aachan because she acted in the remake of HanaKimi. Never watch her version because everyone said that Maki's version is better. Actually, I've watched a few of them but because there were too many members in the group, I wasn't even aware of that. Even Kojiharu herself used to be SakuMiya's classmate in Yamada Taro. The only one that I'm aware was a member of AKB48 when I watched her acting was Oshima Yuko in Ando Llyod. But, she graduated from the group a few months after the drama ended. I like Yuko in Ando Llyod but because I never care about AKB48, I wasn't bothered to check her other works. At that time, I was more interested with SNSD.
Then, one day, when I was watching a video of SNSD, one of the suggested video for me to watch was Yuko singing Genie. I clicked the link and it was a segment for AKBingo. Yuko should give a clue for a question but because she cannot think, she ended up humming Genie as a clue, which was against the rules. The show looks interesting so I decided to watch it. I get to know more members from the group and I noticed familiar face. For example, Kitahara Rie who was in Kazoku Game and Yukirin who was in the fortune telling drama starring Chinen and Nishikido Ryo.
I found the show quite hilarious and I took a break from watching Arashi to watch AKBingo. I get to know Mariko, Tomochin, Takamina, Mayuyu and a lot more. But, my favorite is still Yuko.
I watched a few of their graduation concert, (Aachan and Takamina, wanna watch Yuko's but couldn't find). I like a few of their songs especially the graduation song. It brought tears to my eyes. I even keep track of their last two senbatsu elections and cursed when Sasshi won both elections. I don't know why I didn't like her.
When I watched AKB48, it reminded me of my high school days. For me, AKB48 is like a school and the members are students studying in the school. They were always together, performing as the group but when the time is right, they will leave the school to pursue their dream. Senbatsu election was like their exam, where they figure out who was the best among them in the entertainment industry. Acchan was the best student and Yuko is her no. 1 rival. Takamina is the head prefect. But, right now, the best member is Sasshi, isn't it? And Yuihan is their head prefect.
Watching their graduation concert and listening to their graduation song, they're all about moving forward to pursue the dream as well as fear they have now that they were alone to continue their dream. I feel nostalgic when I heard those songs, reminded me of the last days in school and university.
