Impression on Japonism 2015!
I’ve watched Japonism 2015 and yeah it’s really fantastic. I love it so much! Every performance is worth watching. I might not really remember the details but here are some of my thoughts on the concert:
The concert started with an animation video of the past and present. I couldn’t help but notice that Nino in the animation looked slightly different. When I first looked at the video, I do not recognize him until I realized the yellow surrounding. Am I the only one who think the anime Nino didn’t really look like him?
The first song was Sakura. I don’t have any particular thoughts about the first few performances. During Troublemakers, I love to see a bit of OhMiya moment there when, as always, Neen wouldn’t allow Ohchan to get in between him and Jun after Ohno’s part with Sho. It wasn’t something new because he always do that when they performed Troublemakers but I would always love to watch it.
During Make a Wish, I love when Sakuraiba were dancing together until Sho decided to tease Aiba by standing still when Aiba danced in front of him. Aiba ended up hitting his head. Nino was gone in the middle of the song to prepare for his solo next.
And then we have Neen’s solo. Oh my, it’s my favourite solo. Maybe I am being bias but I miss watching him dance for his solo. He was always with his instrument since doko ni demo aru uta. I know he danced for Himitsu and Gimmick Game for Arafes but this one is different. It was really fun watching him dancing while playing at the same time. He was really cute and I fall in love with him for 100000000th time. His reaction when his shoes squeak was golden. Neen, you’re amazing!
We have Jun’s solo next. Wah, I think it was really entertaining watching his solo when he tried to run away from whoever who was after him. It was like watching an action movie. I think it was quite high from where he was jumping from.
Next is my most anticipated song, In The Room. It’s my favourite song from the album because of Neen’s sexy voice. It was wonderful except that I wish they didn’t skip the second part of the song. Oh, and everyone definitely tried to seduce me in this song. And it works!
Next, Masquerade. Hmmm, what should I said about it. It is one of my favourite from the album and they didn’t disappoint me. The intro sounds different from the album as it doesn’t sound so retro. And I love watching Arashi wearing hats. That outfit is definitely my favourite. Kind of like the outfit from Beauty and the Beast.
Nichi Hon Yoi Toko Makafushigi. Higashiyama Noriyuki joined them for the performance. Wow, he danced well! It shouldn’t be a surprise right but I wonder why I feel surprised to see him.
Kimi He No Omoi. What a touching montage at the back. It’s been a long journey for Arashi. Nice to see their progress. From awkward looking teenager to a handsome, cool, cute, amazing gentleman who steal people’s heart.
Rolling Days next. I read a few times from concert report that Sho screwed up during the performance but I think he did well in this concert. Even if he did screw up, well, it was a hard movement so yeah, it’s understandable.
Mr Funk. My primary concern is Aiba’s safety. What if he fall down? I’m a little bit OCD so I always have wild thought and I am seriously worried about him especially when he turned upside down. Luckily, nothing happened.
Akatsuki. Ohno gained a new power. He can teleport now. It’s kinda scary. I’m not a fan of horror movie so his mask is kinda scary for me. He looked different behind those masks. Ohno’s solo is always showing his cool side and I love it. The dance in the beginning was beautiful. I told my sister that Ohno learned how to silat (a form of martial arts from where I am from).
Then, we have Japonesque. I have fetish for guys wearing traditional clothes. So, yeah, I extremely love Arashi whenever they wear yukata even though it is colourful. The dance with the umbrella is nice. Reminds me when they dance with umbrella when performing Refrain in Popcorn.
Kokoro no Sora is nice. One of my favourite from the album too. I always love the dance in the song and when the song first came out, I watched it several times every day. But, I haven’t done that for a long time and so seeing the dance again is really nostalgic. Oh, and Neen’s expression during the last chorus is funny when he closed his eyes tightly.
Ohno’s soothing voice when he started singing sunrise Nippon. What a nice voice! Always always love his voice!
Watch out for Ohmiya in Oh Yeah! Thanks neen for initiating a little Ohmiya moment that I always want to watch! Love you.
Bokura ga tsunai de iku was as beautiful as always. You could feel their sincerity when they sang the song.
After singing A Ra Shi, they’re playing around as usual. Sho imitated Aiba’s Disco star movement when saying Arigatou and then Aiba do the same. Neen threw petals at Aiba and then Ohchan joined them in the middle and throwing petals at himself. Hahahahaha. I love you guys when you’re playing around like that!
I’m sorry I didn’t write my impression for every song. I mean, some of the songs are the regular for their concert like Happiness and Love so Sweet. And I don’t really know what to say about a few songs. It would be just a repetition of awesome, amazing.
Man, Arashi is really awesome! It has been 5 years since I know them and I really love them. True, sometimes, I did run away from them but afterwards, I would always try to find them. Today is totally devoted for Arashi. I’m not really into watching concert before knowing Arashi. I tried to watch a few concerts (super junior, snsd) but I get boring especially when I don’t know the song. Arashi first concert that I watched was Scene and I don’t even know half of the song when I watched it but it’s weird to think I enjoyed the concert. I have other interest too but I do not spend as much time and money as I did with Arashi. Arashi is really special for me.
From the bottom of my heart, I really love you, Arashi and I pray for your success and don’t forget to take care of yourself!
